Bikini Bite vs Bikini Tape : THE FACTS
A question we get asked a lot surrounding bikini bite and tape - Do you even need them?
The clear cut answer is not everyone does! BUT it is common practise to have one or both as a back up just in case. Also it’s good to know if you need to help another girl out backstage you can too! Let’s go into some details to help you make the right choice before your next bodybuilding competition.
So let’s say you get your bikini, you try it on and do your full routine. Here are the first things you want to consider…
Does anything move where you don’t want it to move?
Would you want to try and secure some sections?
If you answer yes to these then using tape or bikini bite could be an ideal solution to keep things exactly where you want them to be!
At this stage you might also need to consider getting more padding in the top, which we advise hitting up Black Ice Bikinis and Georgia Rose Bikinis for!
BIKINI BUM TAPE
Bikini tape from our experience is best used on the bottoms and your under boob ONLY to help push them up. Some people try to use bikini bum tape on the inner part of the bikini top to hold the cleavage together, our bikini tape is medically graded so while it’s super strong, it is unlikely to hold the weight of your cleavage in place. This is when the fit of your bikini top is important and having some extra padding on hand is useful.
Directions: Apply to dry skin [un-moisturised or oiled]. Place the fabric where you want it to stay put and apply pressure for 10 seconds to secure in place.
BIKINI BITE
Bikini bite can be used on both top and bottom, BUT take care when applying as once it’s on your skin the glue won’t just ‘rub off’ and this will affect your tan making that area way darker than the rest of your tan!
Also with the bikini bite almost acting like a roll-on deordant, it is important not to push too much force down on your skin with the applicator ball when applying to avoid any mishaps from occurring.
It’s important to note that both are definitely not a quick fix for wearing a bikini that doesn’t fit you properly. Both products are designed to help with securing the minor things relating to your suit and for peace of mind!
We hope this helps with some of your frequent questions relating to these two backstage essentials! Don’t forget you can also use your bikini tape as fashion tape for nights out and special occasions too! It really adds that extra level of polish to a look, and can be your go-to for keeping straps and low cut tops in place! Need any more questions answered? Just shoot us a message here.
