Troubleshooting Your Posing Shoe Problem & Shoe Accessories
There's one thing we can all agree on - our posing shoes are beautiful things to look at, but if they’re not quite right you can sometimes start to learn what hate feels like very, very quickly. Thankfully, there are tonnes of products and hacks out there that can help! So hold onto your heels because there are solutions…
Feet Slightly Sliding At The Front?
If this is happening to you, don’t panic! These are a few reasons why you might be experiencing this…
the heel height is too high, causing too much weight and pressure pushing your feet downwards
sometimes if the shoe size is too small, this can sometimes push your feet at the front
the heels are too narrow for you, causing your feet to squish forwards and spill over the front of the shoe.
Solution? Try An Insole Pad OR A Different Style/Size
Before investing in a brand new pair of heels, try attaching one of our inserts into the front of the heel as this can not only fix the problem by providing some grip, but it can also provide extra comfort and security.
Are Your Shoes Too Tight OR Loose? Assess These Points Below:
many competitors at first sometimes won’t know that in-between offseason and prep, your shoe size might alter slightly OR the style that fits you the best might change depending on how much fat is on your feet (or not!)
for example…in the offseason when her body isn’t depleted, Jasmin (the owner of KOMPAK) will typically wear something like a Cocktail 508, as her feet struggle to fit comfortably into a Lip or Poise 508, this is because these styles are more narrow than the Cocktail.
overall the sizing is true to size, however, if you’re in between sizes are looking for a heel with a strap, then usually we advise ordering a size up
you might find a size 5 Poise 508 and a size 5 Cocktail 508 to feel slightly different, this will be due to the way the shoe is designed at the front

Worried About A Slippy Stage Floor or Getting Nervous On Stage?
if you find your shoes are slipping while on stage or during practicing, you could try using a resistance sole stoppers which you place at the bottom of the shoe to provide more grip, resistance and tread
Plastic Feels Tough / Feet Feel Sore At The Front?
You will most likely experience this when you are trying on your first ever pair of heels and practicing in them, posing shoe material and posing itself is a world of its own, so it might take a little time for your feet to get used to them. But after your first pair, you should be good to go!
These are our top tips for easing into your heels as quickly as possible…
wear socks during practice, also wear white socks in particular when trying on your shoes for the first time
some girls find that using a hairdryer at a distance can help to soften the plastic and make it less harsh on your foot.
one way to ease any areas which might be slightly uncomfortable is to apply a buffer stick to the area. This acts as a layer in between the skin and the plastic of the shoe, almost like a lubricant, to avoid any irritation.
Straps Starting to Break/Tear
This is a rare occurrence, as the posing shoes we sell are of the highest quality. However, there are ways to prevent any breakdown of the strap, take a look at our advice and best care practices:
if your shoes are too small and tight which increases undue pressure on the strap
straps are secured too tight, we have found in the past that some competitors will tighten their strap super tight when they are trying to walk in heels which are too high for them in an attempt to walk in them better
remember that you put your heels through their spaces a lot more than wearing other shoes you have, especially if you are posing in them, every day for example during a 16-week prep
on show day, you might be startling around more than usual, this is when things such as shoe straps and bikini connectors are prone to mishandling and harsh pulling, so stay calm and take care when handling all your show day essentials!
